What fees are providers charged?

LivBetter charges a percentage-based fee on transactions for paid support activities and a flat fee for concessional or subsidised arrangements. In addition, there is a processing charge of $0.30 for each transaction to cover third party costs. Fees and charges are outlined in the table below.

The fees charged include a New Client Set Up Fee, a Commission, and a Processing Charge. Further details can be found at here.

Example 1:

If a client accepts a specific offer for a $50.00 non-subsidised activity from a provider they have not engaged through LivBetter before, LivBetter will debit the provider:

New Client Set Up Fee (@8%):  $4.00

+  Commission (@2%):   $1.00

Total Fees:  $4.00 New Client Fee + $1.00 Commission + Processing Charge of $0.30 = $5.30

This $5.30 is debited from the service provider’s account when the client accepts the specific offer.

The client pays $50 to the service provider directly (the amount quoted in the Offer) on the completion of the activity as per normal methods.


Example 2:

If the same client then arranges a new support activity for $50.00 from the same service provider, LivBetter will debit the provider:

Commission  (@2%):   $1.00

Total Fees:  $1.00 Commission + Processing Charge ($0.30) = $1.30

This $1.30 is debited from the service provider’s account when the service activity is scheduled.

Again the client will pay the $50 directly to the service provider on completion of the activity as per normal methods.


Example 3:

If the same client arranges a concessional or subsidised service with the same service provider for $120.00 ($30.00 out of pocket and $90.00 subsidy), LivBetter will debit the provider:

Commission (Flat fee):   $2.00

Total Fees:  $2.00 Commission + Processing Charge ($0.30) = $2.30

This $2.30 is debited from the service provider’s account when the service activity is scheduled.

The client will now need to pay the out of pocket amount of $30.00 directly to the service provider on completion of the activity as per normal methods.


Example 4:

If a NEW client now accepts a specific offer for a $120.00 subsidised activity from the same service provider (and they have not connected in LivBetter before), LivBetter will debit the provider:

New Client Set Up Fee (Flat fee): $8.00

+  Commission (Flat fee): $2.00

Total Fees:  $8.00 New Client Fee + $2.00 Commission + Processing Charge ($0.30) = $10.30

The $10.30 is debited from the provider’s account when the client accepts the specific offer.

The client will now pay the out of pocket amount of $30.00 (or as specified in the Offer) directly to the service provider on completion of the activity as per normal methods.
